University stole and honor cords

Our official regalia vendor, Herff Jones, is now offering personalized stoles, which can be purchased through . Graduates will have the option to order stoles along with their cap and gown, making the process much easier and accessible to all of our graduates. Stoles should be ordered by June 22 to ensure delivery by commencement and to avoid expedited shipping fees.

Undergraduate students who are eligible for Graduation with Academic Honors will receive honor cords free of charge at commencement.

Bachelor's and master's graduates

Bachelor's and master's graduates must for shipping. The Herff Jones ordering website is now open and graduates should order regalia by June 22 to ensure timely delivery, though the site is open for expedited shipping beginning on June 23 and closes July 3. A limited stock of regalia is available for purchase at the Bobcat Store (bookstore) on the San Marcos Campus after the June 22 deadline.

Hoods

The hood (worn only by master's and doctoral graduates) is a black shell, silk-lined in the color or colors of the institution conferring the degree. Check with your program to verify the color, which signifies the field of study the degree was earned, not the academic department.

Doctoral candidates and faculty

Doctoral graduates and faculty must purchase or rent their regalia directly from our vendor, .
