As teachers, we are dedicated to introducing our Texas State students to the variety of cultures and peoples that co-exist in our world. We are committed to the freedom of expression. We condemn bigoted speech, which threatens public safety, restricts academic freedom, and tacitly justifies hate. We believe that a fuller understanding of our shared pasts is essential to understanding our shared history and our common present.
